Senior Access is here to help our clients throughout this pandemic. We are currently scheduling essential medical appointment rides using ride-share programs. Volunteers can begin signing up to drive essential rides if you feel comfortable doing so. Volunteers and clients will wear a mask, use hand sanitizer, and sit as far away from each other as possible. If you are a volunteer and have a fever or are showing any symptoms of illness, please do not drive. If you are a client and have a fever or are showing any symptoms, please inform the office and let your doctor know.
With our population in the vulnerable category, we want to assure our clients stay home
and away from possible illnesses. Safety is our first priority.
Staff continues to work remotely and check messages daily. We will stay active in the updates from the CDC. As challenging as this is, we want to ensure that our clients, volunteers and staff are safe.
HOW DIFFERENT WOULD YOUR LIFE BE IF YOU COULDN'T DRIVE?
How would you do your grocery shopping? How would you get to the doctor or pick up your prescriptions? Your time or donations could help thousands of senior citizens without transportation in Round Rock, Pflugerville, Hutto, and East Austin, to stay in their own homes. Perhaps one of your family members has needed such a service in the past and you’d like to give back, or possibly you’re looking for a worthy way to spend some of your extra time, or maybe you’re looking for a great cause to get needed service hours - whatever reason you may have, you can make a big difference here!
WHY WE DRIVE
Senior Access was founded in 1993 on the premise that our senior neighbors lead happier, healthier lives when they “age in place”.
But how does one continue to live at home without viable transportation, basic chores around the home, or access to essential services? Senior Access connects volunteer drivers with seniors needing a way to get around.
