Who is ready for the holidays? This year has been full of twists and turns and all kinds of YUCK! We think in terms of pre-Covid and the "new" normal. With life in general turned upside down, things just are not the same. Yet, I think despite it all, we may be looking forward to some Holiday cheer.
Even our 26th Annual Choral Concert has been impacted. This event is the highlight of the community as we come together to listen to beautiful choirs singing holiday music and joining in song together. Many of our clients are able to attend the concert in person and love this holiday tradition. This year's concert, though, like so many other things, will be a virtual event.
We are so excited and grateful to be able to continue with the holiday tradition even with things being different. The support of wonderful choirs wanting to make it work has been inspiring. Please join us for our 26th annual virtual choral event, Mistletoe Magic, and kick off the holiday season with music from local church and community choirs as we strive to reach our goal of raising $50,000 benefitting seniors.
Senior Access makes sure seniors who can no longer drive, have access to groceries, prescriptions, and social opportunities even amidst the isolation of COVID-19.
With the help of countless volunteers and dedicated staff, seniors in the Round Rock, Hutto, Pflugerville, Manor, and East Austin areas can continue to stay safe at home or begin to enter the community as we resume van and volunteer drives slowly and safely. Senior Access clients become family and we are passionate about supporting their independence, meeting essential needs, and connecting them with their community, but we can't do it without the financial support from you.
You also won't want to miss hearing from our client Valerie and how life is limitless with a little help from volunteers at Senior Access. Like so many older adults, age doesn't hold her back from getting involved. We can't wait to share more about the seniors in our community and what they've been up to in 2020.
A positive side effect of having a virtual concert is the ability to include so many others.
